Gonzalo Higuain is Back From Chicago

Gonzalo Higuain landed this morning at T4 Madrid Barajas Airport from Chicago. He is happy with how he passed through the surgery, and now is hoping to be ready before the season ends.

"Everything went as planned just as we had hoped. I am very happy and feel much better. I hope to return as soon as possible."

"I got checked out by the doctor yesterday and everything is fine. Almost all the pain in my leg has dissipated and now my goal is to get back to my old self. I am confident I will return before the end of the season."

"Seeing my teammates wear t-shirts in my honor was very special. It was a wonderful surprise. Now my only goal is to return as soon as possible."

On the rumors of the return of Ruud Van Nistelrooy, just to support the forward area, Higuain answered,"He's a great player, I played with him, and he really helped me a lot. I was able to win the league with him and hewas very supportive to me. "

Higuain expressed his joy for the support of his teammates during these months. "A lot of happiness, I received great supports. I'm in the process of rehabilitation, and it's hard. The truth is I am suffering because I love this sport, I love to play. The important thing now is to recover one hundred per cent. Health comes first. But it's all on track, which is important, "he said.

Gonzalo Higuain Arrived at Chicago

Gonzalo Higuain has arrived in Chigago, after 10  hours of flight. Several fans were welcome him , asking for photograph and to sign their jerseys.

Higuain will face several test today and tomorrow before Tuesday's surgery. Before he left to Chicago, he had an interview with the media.

"The decision was made. Now lets hope that the operation goes well. I'm very excited about the possibility to play again and help the team as before."

"I don't know if I could return in March, there's no exact date."

The media also questioned about the possibility of Benzema get injured, he answered," I will try to play as soon as possible to help the team, because there is only one striker."

Gonzalo Higuain Will Travel To Chicago Tomorrow (8 January 2011)

Tomorrow, Gonzalo Higuain will fly to Chicago for his operation schedule. Before the surgery, which will take on nextTuesday, he will need a series of tests to make sure that everything is fine inside the operating room.

Actually, the Real Madrid striker wants to travel with his parents. However, there are several bureaucratic problems that made it impossible.  Higuain has a French passport, since he was born there, was having a difficulties to have United States visa. Although he finally get the visa, his parents weren't so lucky. With having only Argentina nationality, they couldn't get a quick visa. So he has to satisty with the accompany from Real Madrid's medical team.

Gonzalo Higuain Surgery Schedule

Gonzalo Higuain surgery schedule has already decided. He will be operate on next Tuesday, Jan 11th, by Dr. Richard G Fessler, at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. It was a final decision from the club, medical team, and his family.

Gonzalo Higuain Will Undergo Surgery

Traditional and conventional medication proved to be a failure for the Real Madrid striker Higuain. Therefore, there's only one option for him, to go for an operation. Of course, with a risk of long absence on the fields.

Currently, Higuain is still in Argentina, and will return to Madrid on 3rd January. He will be examined by a medical team, to make sure about his injury, and when the surgery will be done.

According to Marca, he will need a minimum of 3 months for recovery after the operation. However, it could take longer, depends on his condition. It means, Real Madrid have to be prepare in ending this season without Higuain.

Higuain's Surgery Got Canceled For Quicker Recovery

Considering that Higuain might be side off for over than 2 months, Valdano confirmed that Higuain won't be having to operate his hernia, at least not until the next 2 weeks. They still wait for another option to recover the problem.

The Argentinian player is now at rest, but still having an injections and special treatment for the next 2 weeks. And during that time, they will see if the pain has reduce and eventually gone.

If Higuain avoids surgery, after 2 weeks he only needs a month to recover and get well physically. And hopefully he will be ready on February, for Champions League match. Higuain has agreed with the clubs decision to postpone the surgery. Even it's a bit risky, but he wants to try all the options that is best for him and the club.

Higuain Left Out Due to Serious Injury, Leaves Madrid to Find New Striker

The misery keeps continue in El Merengues squad. After Cristiano Ronaldo suffered a minor injury,  now Gonzalo Higuain is diagonised with lumbar herniated disc, which could make him out from the field for up to 2 months. That if they go with the operation. But it looks like operation is the fastest alternate way they could get.

With this condition, Real Madrid looks for other option, to find a new striker. And Hugo Almeida from Werder Bremen is the first on their list.
